Revelation Software Releases Latest Version of OpenInsight

Revelation Software is making a variety of enhancements to its OpenInsight platform, driven by customer requests for more mobile and remote work environments due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“People are asking for more remote access solutions like remote desktop,” said Mike Ruane, president and CEO of Revelation. “COVID has made users want to switch over their operations so they can be more browser based.”

Customers have also been reaching out to Revelation to upgrade to the latest version of the OpenInsight platform.

“We want our customers to know they have support and migration path to get to the latest and the greatest,” Ruane said.

Updates to OpenInsight 10.0.8 include reporting enhancements such an upgraded Windows 10 UI and better visual experience when utilizing multiple tabs. Deployment tools are now easier to access and users can upgrade their platform to the latest version in one step.

Unexpected bugs and user reported issues were also addressed in this latest update, according to Ruane.

For the next version of OpenInisght, developers are working on retooling all help files and cross referencing assistance with YouTube to help users troubleshoot common problems.

Additionally, Revelation will be collaborating with Couchbase to offer a cloud-based database which will be built into OpenInsight 10.1.
