Splunk DB Connect Integrates with Relational Databases for More Powerful Business Insights


Splunk Inc., a software platform provider for real-time operation intelligence, has announced Splunk DB Connect, delivering reliable, scalable, and real-time integration between Splunk Enterprise and traditional relational databases. Using this product, structured data from relational databases can be easily integrated into Splunk Enterprise, driving greater levels of operational intelligence and richer business analytics across the enterprise.

Splunk DB Connect enables organizations to drive more meaningful insights for IT operations, security and business users. “It enables you to connect in real-time to many databases concurrently, and all the major database management systems: Oracle RDBMS, Sybase Adaptive Server, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, etc. You can bring in unstructured data to combine with machine data to add business context, and it enables importing data from the database in to the Splunk Enterprise product,” Sanjay Mehta, Splunk’s vice president of product market, tells 5 Minute Briefing.
