Sumo Logic, the Intelligent Operations Platform, is introducing the preview of its Root Cause Agent (RCA), an autonomous investigator for SRE and DevOps teams that alerts, inspects logs and metrics, and returns an evidence-backed assessment of what caused the incident.
According to Sumo Logic, instead of spending hours gathering incident data and piecing together signals, engineers can now immediately review the agent’s assessment and findings, ask follow-up questions, and quickly implement a resolution.
Root Cause Agent extends the proven power of DojoAI’s autonomous investigation capabilities from security to observability with the workflow integrations, context, and governance controls customers need to operate AI at scale.
It works as a teammate to Sumo Logic’s SOC Analyst Agent, helping SecOps and SRE teams collaborate through a single shared case file with plain-language findings, a clear verdict, and a clickable query for every piece of evidence. This significantly increases the mean time to resolution (MTTR) that customers are already realizing with DojoAI agents, the company said.
“Observability teams are challenged with both time-consuming investigations across massive datasets and unpredictable AI costs,” said Keith Kuchler, CPTO, at Sumo Logic. “We’re continuing to deliver new agentic teammates, like Root Cause Agent, which delivers insightful answers in minutes, not hours. And we’re pairing them with our new DojoAI packages to provide the proper cost and governance controls teams need to scale their AI usage predictably.”
In addition to expanding DojoAI's capabilities, Sumo Logic introduced new DojoAI packages that make it easy for customers to manage and forecast their AI spend.
By leveraging a single, organization-wide monthly credit pool, customers have flexibility in how they use their agents and never have to worry about hitting limits while investigating major incidents.
