The New SuiteApp for Zip Intake-to-Procure Meets Oracle NetSuite SuiteCloud Platform Development Standards

Zip, an intake-to-procure platform, announced its Intake-to-Procure product has achieved “Built for NetSuite” status, helping organizations fully integrate Zip’s modern spend approval solution with their NetSuite instances with automated vendor creation and purchase order (PO) creation with NetSuite.

The integration allows NetSuite customers to easily onboard Zip Intake-to-Procure to reduce risk and improve spend visibility and control, according to the company.

“Zip developed a strategic integration with NetSuite as an early part of our product strategy and has since experienced rapid adoption of the NetSuite integration across our customer base,” said Rujul Zaparde, co-founder and CEO of Zip. “By combining our easy-to-use, consumer-style interface with NetSuite’s well-established ERP solution, our joint customers are able to dramatically increase employee adoption of upstream procurement processes, allowing them to maximize their NetSuite deployments and vastly improve spend visibility.”

Using the Zip-NetSuite integration, any employee can initiate a purchase or vendor request in Zip. Upon connecting Zip and NetSuite, Zip will execute a daily master data sync, pulling in vendors, accounts, items, general ledger (GL) segmentation, amortization schedules, tax codes and custom fields.

Leveraging Zip’s intuitive and dynamic intake form, requesters will be guided through the purchase request intake, providing required PO fields without relying on procurement. When a Zip user submits a purchase request for a new vendor, there will be a step in the approval workflow to onboard and approve the new vendor in Zip and create the new vendor record in NetSuite.

Requests are automatically routed for approval via Zip across finance, legal, IT, security, and other teams. Following these cross-functional approvals, there will be a step in the approval workflow to automatically generate a PO in NetSuite.

“Many businesses today are eager to find ways to streamline their internal B2B purchasing workflows,” said Guido Haarmans, group vice president, SuiteCloud developer network and partner programs, Oracle NetSuite. “This new SuiteApp extends our robust solution for procurement and helps NetSuite customers achieve greater control over business spend, reduce risk and increase cross-functional efficiency through its intake and orchestration platform.”

Built for NetSuite is a program for NetSuite SuiteCloud Developer Network (SDN) partners that provides partners with the information, resources, and methodology required to help them verify that their applications and integrations meet NetSuite standards and best practices. The Built for NetSuite program is designed to give NetSuite customers additional confidence that SuiteApps, like Zip’s, have been built to meet these standards.
