Profisee, a leader in cloud-native master data management (MDM), is introducing the general availability of Profisee 2026 R1—establishing comprehensive AI leadership across the MDM category with capabilities spanning automated agents, semantic matching, and natural language data interaction through the new MCP (Model Context Protocol) Server.
According to the company, this release is a landmark moment for enterprise AI, connecting governed master data directly to the AI tools organizations already use—including Microsoft Copilot, Claude, and Gemini—and positioning Profisee as the trusted data backbone for AI-driven business.
“AI in master data management isn’t about a single capability—it’s about delivering intelligence across every aspect of how organizations create, manage and use trusted data,” said Eric Melcher, chief technology officer at Profisee. “2026.R1 demonstrates our AI leadership with agents that automate repetitive work, semantic matching that understands meaning not just text, MCP integration that brings master data into AI workflows and certified Microsoft Copilot agents that ground conversational AI in governed data. Our MCP Server transforms Profisee from a system that data teams manage into a governed data backbone that the entire organization can access through AI.”
The MCP (Model Context Protocol) Server establishes an open standard for connecting AI tools to enterprise systems, and it represents a shift in how people interact with business-critical data. MCP integration brings master data into conversational AI workflows while maintaining enterprise security and permissions, fundamentally changing how users access trusted data, the company said.
New AI Data Quality and Enrichment Agents automatically resolve data issues and fill missing values based on configured rules, reducing manual stewardship work while maintaining full audit trails. The agents operate with human-in-the-loop design, where administrators configure context fields and rules while AI handles execution at scale.
AI Vector Matching uses semantic embeddings to match records based on meaning rather than text similarity, enabling matches between “H2O” and “Water” or “30” and “Thirty” without maintaining synonym lists. The capability improves match quality on unstructured data and cross-system matching where terminology varies, the company said.
Profisee’s certified Microsoft 365 Copilot Agent brings governed customer, product, and vendor data directly into Microsoft 365 and Teams, ensuring copilots deliver accurate recommendations grounded in consistent, validated master data rather than hallucinations or duplicates.
The native Profisee Power Platform Connector enables business users to incorporate trusted, AI-ready data from Profisee into any Power Apps, Power Automate workflow, or Power BI report. Teams can build AI-powered apps and agents that run on authoritative, high-quality data while leveraging Power Platform’s low-code environment.
The Profisee MCP Server addresses a core challenge: AI is only as valuable as the data it operates on. By making clean, mastered data available inside AI workflows, Profisee ensures that the insights and actions generated by AI tools are grounded in a single, trusted source of truth, said the vendor.
“AI collapses hours of manual work into seconds, but only when copilots and agents have access to trusted, governed data,” added Melcher. “Our AI capabilities aren’t just fast, they’re accurate, verifiable, and grounded in the data quality and governance that enterprises require.”
