Trillium Software and Collibra Partner to Improve Data Accountability and Business Process

Trillium Software, a provider of enterprise data quality software and services, and Collibra, a provider of data governance software, have formed an alliance to address the demand for data governance initiatives and enable customers to leverage data as a strategic asset.

Trillium Software System integration with CollibraDataGovernanceCenter enables customers to add policies to business rules management by business stakeholders. The goal is to help make data profiling results more easily accessible by business people and provide traceability between business rules, data assets, systems and business definitions, and address issue management resolution. “We can analyze as part of business rules that we apply to the data. We can do that as part of workflows that Collibra enabled. They have a workflow engine that once you interrogate the data it routes it back to the stewardship platform and you can apply Trillium Software cleansing functions to fix the data,” David Pietropaolo, Trillium vice president of global alliances, tells 5 Minute Briefing.

According to the vendors, the alliance provides customers with a focused solution and eliminates the need to buy additional products and services. “This extends our data governance platform capability. It gives you software that extends past Trillium software that’s purpose-built for governance,” Pietropaolo explains. Combining data governance and data quality management toolsets enables organizations to create both a contextual and holistic view of the data to drive business process improvement, reduce operational coasts, improve customer retention and increase revenue.
