VSP One by Hitachi Vantara is Now Available on Google Cloud Marketplace, Fortifying Hybrid Cloud Strategies

Hitachi Vantara, the data storage, infrastructure, and hybrid cloud management subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd., is bringing a series of new enterprise features to the public cloud via enhancements to Virtual Storage Platform One Software-Defined Storage (VSP One SDS)—now available on the Google Cloud Marketplace. Designed to give organizations greater agility, data efficiencies, improved disaster recovery, and streamlined data mobility, VSP One’s new features strengthen hybrid cloud data management.

This release is backdropped by the increasing movement to hybrid cloud infrastructures, operating from a mixture of public and private clouds to meet today’s business requirements. However, these environments are difficult to control and maintain amid their complexities, evidenced by industry research highlighting that 47% of IT and security leaders struggle with limited visibility across hybrid environments.

With VSP One’s availability on Google Cloud Marketplace, Hitachi Vantara forwards streamlined, efficient hybrid cloud management with availability and consistency at the forefront, capable of reducing storage costs by up to 40%, according to the vendor. Featuring new capabilities such as thin provisioning and compression and two-way asynchronous replication for enhancing disaster recovery strategies, VSP One delivers a “more flexible, software-defined approach and deeper integration with Google Cloud,” the company noted.

“Bringing VSP One to Google Cloud Marketplace will help customers quickly deploy, manage, and grow the data management solution on Google Cloud's trusted, global infrastructure," said Dai Vu, managing director, marketplace, and ISV GTM programs, Google Cloud. “Hitachi Vantara can now securely scale and support customers on their digital transformation journeys.”

Fundamentally, VSP One is designed to support modern businesses’ need for high service reliability and uptime. Engineered for continuous reliability, VSP One not only helps reduce costs and enables native migration to and from any storage platform and cloud, it also supports rapid recovery from unexpected outages for greater business confidence.

“Customers want the freedom to choose the right cloud for every workload and the assurance that their data will remain protected, available, and easy to manage,” said Octavian Tanase, chief product officer, Hitachi Vantara. “With availability on Google Cloud Marketplace and the addition of two-way asynchronous replication, VSP One empowers our customers to easily streamline hybrid cloud operations while strengthening their resiliency posture.”
