Vision Solutions, a high availability and disaster recovery solutions provider, has announced the availability of Vision PowerPacks, new offerings that combine Vision Solutions software with IBM technologies. By combining complementary hardware and software technologies, the new PowerPacks are intended to enable customers to more easily acquire turnkey high availability, disaster recovery and migration solutions, the vendor says.
Vision released four offerings as part of its PowerPack series. Vision PowerPack for AIX Resilience is designed to enable users to implement a disaster recovery solution with continuous data protection that keeps systems available. Vision PowerPack for AIX Resilience-PowerHA User Edition complements the high availability protection provided by PowerHA for AIX (HACMP), and enables users to add a disaster recovery solution with CDP. Vision PowerPack for IBM i Resilience helps companies keep systems protected and available. Vision PowerPack for POWER6 Migration is a cost-effective solution that virtually eliminates the downtime traditionally associated with system upgrades and migrations.
The offerings extend IBM's latest Power Systems offerings with Vision's solutions to protect systems for mid-market to large companies, notes Vision Solutions' senior vice president of marketing, Edward Vesely. "PowerPack customers of all sizes will benefit from these offerings that are easy to use, affordable and packed with innovative features such as continuous data protection."
