Zumasys Acquires Rover Data Systems

Zumasys is acquiring Rover Data Systems, expanding its vertical market software business. Formerly known as Millennium III, the Rover ERP system has been completely rebranded by Zumasys.

“Thousands of users rely on Rover ERP to grow their manufacturing businesses efficiently and affordably,” said Paul Giobbi, President of Zumasys. “Having utilized Rover ERP ourselves to scale our former technology business to $30M in revenue, Zumasys has first-hand experience with this powerful platform. We are excited to expose even more customers to the unique benefits of Rover ERP, which is now integrated with our database, OpenQM.”

Together the companies completed an extensive rebranding and have already expanded the functionality of Rover with newly added third-party integrations including:

  • Business Intelligence and Reporting – Phocas Software
  • Direct API integration to hundreds of other software packages – MVConnect
  • Avalara Sales Tax, ShipStation, eCommerce, Salesforce & more
  • Software-as-a-Service – Microsoft Azure
  • Upgraded NoSQL Database – OpenQM
  • Migrating from D3 to Zumasys’ integrated MultiValue database OpenQM
  • Warehouse Management System (WMS) – JMO Software

“We take great pride in providing highly adaptable software that delivers results and we are excited to be a part of Zumasys, a company that understands our technology stack and has the development resources to help our customers achieve their goals,” said Vern Jorgensen, co-founder of Rover Data Systems. “Zumasys’ leadership in incorporating modern programming languages and concepts within OpenQM allows us to combine the application and database into one stack, thus increasing speed and functionality and enabling us to control excessive database run-time costs.”

As part of the acquisition, the entire Rover Data Systems staff has relocated from Tustin, and has joined the Zumasys team at its headquarters in San Clemente, California.

“We believe software should adapt to the needs of business, not the other way around,” said Ron Vogel, co-founder of Rover Data. “MultiValue database technology is at the heart of Rover ERP’s flexibility and we know we found the perfect partner in Zumasys.”
