Authenticating Users in an Era of Massive Data Breaches
Recent data breaches at major corporations have CEOs across the board on heightened alert. Now more than ever, it’s essential that security becomes a main priority. At SHARE Providence 2017, Brian Marshall spoke about mainframe user authentication, including multi-factor authentication (MFA), IRSXT00 for CICS, TSO PREPROMPT, and APAR OA43999. “Breaches are going to start costing CEOs their jobs – or their paychecks,” said the Vice President of Vanguard Integrity Professionals, and that companies need to have methods in place for authenticating users as a defense against cyber-attacks, especially ones aimed at stealing cardholder data.
Hear from Marshall about the authentication of users, tips about passwords and passphrases and more in his “Security Potpourri” presentation at SHARE Providence.
