- Chris Wooldridge Award
IOUG is pleased to present the Chris Wooldridge Award to April Sims, database administrator at Southern Utah University. The Chris Wooldridge Award is presented each year at the IOUG Forum for exemplary service to the user group community from a volunteer. April has been an IOUG Member for 10 years, the executive director of SELECT Journal and a presenter at Oracle OpenWorld.
- Ken Jacobs Award
The 2013 Ken Jacobs Award recipient is Jenny Gelhausen, Senior Principal Product Marketing Director for Oracle Database product marketing. The Ken Jacobs Award recognizes an Oracle Corporation employee each year for their outstanding dedication and service to the user group community on behalf of Oracle. Not only has Jenny been a dedicated and active member of IOUG, but she has been a member for 20 years!
- SELECT Journal Editor’s Choice Award
Congratulations to Gwen Shapira, Senior Oracle DBA for Pythian and The SELECT Journal Editor’s Choice Award winner. This award is given to a SELECT Journal author for their excellence in an IOUG SELECT Journal technical article. Gwen was selected for her article, “What’s the Big Deal with Big Data?”
