Got OBIEE? Learn How to Automate Your Testing with ELV
Wednesday, June 18
12:00 p.m.  - 1:00 p.m.CT

Regression in Business Intelligence platforms is a major problem when changes are made to existing systems via upgrades, configuration or at the integration layer. Regression can cause broken reports, performance degradation, incorrect data or other unwarranted behavior which reduce the end users’ trust in enterprise reporting systems.

To minimize the impact of regression, testing teams should ideally take snapshots of every dashboard/report with all the potential combinations (prior to the change) and then compare to the ones after the change is applied.

In theory, while this may sound simple, it is extremely challenging and impractical to test all possibilities.
