Oracle recently announced interoperability and security enhancements to Oracle Health Information Exchange, an open standards-based solution that enables healthcare organizations and government agencies to securely manage and share health data across networks to improve patient care, reduce costs and enhance revenues. Oracle Health Information Exchange helps eliminate the complexity of deploying a Health Information Exchange (HIE) by providing a comprehensive and pre-integrated portfolio of products built on a scalable and secure infrastructure.

"Empowering healthcare providers with accurate and complete patient information when and where it is needed can have a tremendous impact on improving quality of care and patient outcomes - while also helping to drive down healthcare delivery costs," said Neil de Crescenzo, senior vice president and general manager, Oracle Health Sciences. "While this vision is clear, the path forward has often been mired with complexity as healthcare organizations work to integrate data from myriad systems and grapple with security concerns. Oracle Health Information Exchange helps organizations move beyond these challenges - speeding time to value and optimizing the secure exchange of electronic health information with an extensible, open, suite of solutions designed to work together out of the box and running on a robust, reliable and secure technology infrastructure."
