Enterprises and Consumers Still Don't See Eye-to-Eye on Security


A recent survey by CA Technologies shows consumers and enterprise executives have differing views on digital trust matters. While executives feel they are handling data security in a relatively safe and secure fashion, consumer aren't so sure. In the survey, consumers give relatively weak scores to businesses on their ability to protect sensitive data—a "61" on a scale of 1 to 100. By contrast, cybersecurity professionals assign an average score of 75. There are mismatched perceptions of data security, and customers simply don't trust what businesses are doing with the data they collect.
