Two-thirds of CIOs Losing Sleep Over Mainframe Skills Shortage

The people at Compuware shared their latest survey results with us, and it points to rising challenges for mainframe shops. The issues aren’t technical or platform-related, but rather, relate to a growing shortage of skilled mainframe developers.

Two-thirds of the CIOs surveyed are concerned about the attrition rates of their mainframe talent. While the mainframe skills shortage has loomed for a number of years, 40% of CIOs still do not have a plan to address the issue.
