Best NewSQL Database

A new class of databases called NewSQL has emerged, leveraging the best of NoSQL and SQL. Coined in 2011 by Matt Aslett, an analyst with the 451 Group, the term “NewSQL” describes a category of databases that offer the ability to manage structured and unstructured information within a unified environment, combining structured schemas and queries with distributed structures.

Supporting enterprise initiatives such as fraud detection, digital advertising, market segmentation analysis, real-time pricing and billion, retail loyalty programs, NewSQL databases are notable in that they provide the scalable performance of NoSQL systems for OLTP workloads as well as the ACID (Atomicity, Consistency, Isolation, Durability) guarantees of traditional relational database management systems. With the ability to ingest large amounts of data quickly and scale to meet growing demand, NewSQL data systems support rapid analytics and decision making, helping organizations leverage their data for business advantage.
