COLLABORATE 17: There’s Nothing Like Being There!


COLLABORATE 17: Technology & Applications Forum for the Oracle Community is set for April 2-6 in Las Vegas and, for Oracle users, there is simply nothing like being there. Packed with user-focused education and networking, COLLABORATE creates a welcoming atmosphere where participants can candidly share their ideas, challenges and questions.

With over 1200 sessions and panels organized into 17 learning tracks, COLLABORATE provides educational content for organizations anywhere on the cloud continuum, including:

Plus, content dedicated to EBS Extensions for Endeca, CRM On Demand, Siebel CRM, BI and EPM, Upgrades, Support, Financials, HCM, Application Strategy and more! Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits are offered for sessions in the Financial Modules track and select sessions in the Enterprise Performance Management/Business Intelligence track.

Keynotes

  • Opening Keynote Jenn Lim, CEO and CHO (Chief Happiness Officer) of Delivering Happiness shares how companies with a higher sense of purpose outperform others. According to Lim, 15 years of research shows happiness increases every positive business outcome.
  • The Oracle Keynote is presented by Steve Daheb, Senior Vice President, Oracle Cloud – IaaS, PaaS, Security, Mobile, Analytics.
  • A keynote presented by IBM explores how emerging technologies such as Blockchain, Cognitive and Quantum Computing will do more than change businesses; they will transform industries and create their own ecosystems.

Oracle Sessions and Access

COLLABORATE offers direct access to Oracle leadership and development teams through Oracle Product Roadmap Sessions as well as:

  • Meet the Oracle Experts Sessions offer discussions on the latest releases with executives and representatives.
  • The Oracle DEMOgrounds in the Exhibitor Showcase offers hands-on demos and meetings with representatives.
  • The on-site Oracle User Experience Usability Lab is a forum to test and share feedback about proposed designs and influence future products.

Exploration Series

Multiple presenters collaborate to cover a topic over the course of one day. This year’s focus is on improving business processes through either employing the extended functionality of R12 or coexisting with the Cloud.

  • Procure to Pay (P2P): Sessions cover iSupplier, Sourcing, and Services Procurement modules, Shared Services Invoicing and Payments, ACH, Optimizing Payments, Cash Reconciliation.
  • Order to Cash (O2C): Sessions cover Automated Lockbox, Advanced Collections, Funds Capture, Channel Revenue Management, CPQ Cloud.
  • Record to Report (R2R): Sessions cover Reconciliation, Intercompany, XML Reporting, Hyperion Tax Provision.

International Program

The International Program addresses concerns specific to Europe, Latin America, Brazil and India plus an Oracle leader speaking on the topic of globalization.

Networking Events

On OAUG Community Sunday, April 2, a variety of fun events help attendees connect. 28 geographic networking groups are participating in the interactive OAUG Geo Land event, followed by the Meeting of the OAUG Members, where award-winning members and innovators will be recognized. The OAUG Welcome Reception, featuring the CSS Oracle house band, the Conference Room Pilots, takes place at the House of Blues Las Vegas.

COLLABORATE is rich with opportunities to expand one’s network of Oracle colleagues and resources. Exciting networking events include 46 Special Interest Group (SIG) meetings, the Women in Technology panel discussion, an OAUG Young Professionals Cocktail Meetup and the closing Bohemian Nights Party.
