Don’t Miss IOUG at Oracle OpenWorld 2015

The Independent Oracle Users Group is headed to San Francisco this October to join the Oracle technology community at Oracle OpenWorld 2015. Representing the voice of Oracle technology professionals, IOUG members will present more than 35 sessions on critical Oracle technology topics, including Big Data, Cloud, Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c, and more. There is a lot to discuss with the Oracle database and technology community, and I am looking forward to connecting with Oracle professionals with similar interests to address challenges and solutions face-to-face.

Connect With IOUG on User Group Forum Sunday

IOUG will have a strong presence at OpenWorld this year starting with the User Group Forum on Sunday and continuing on throughout the rest of the week. We will meet with Oracle executives and advocate for our members and their needs, provide insight into Oracle technology, facilitate networking opportunities, and deliver educational sessions about the latest trends and products.

Speaking of networking, there are plenty of ways to connect with the IOUG community throughout the week. A list of some of the leadership names and faces to look for is available at IOUG Leadership page. Please stop us and say hello if you see us in the halls, at sessions and at events throughout the week!

IOUG Special Interest Group (SIG) meetings at Oracle OpenWorld are excellent opportunities to connect with like-minded Oracle technology professionals and discuss some of the key topics that matter to you, such as Cloud Computing, Big Data, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Internet of Things, and more. Keep an eye on the SIG section of the IOUG website in the next few weeks for more details on SIG meetup schedules at OpenWorld.

IOUG Education Opportunities Beyond OpenWorld

Once OpenWorld has wrapped, look for IOUG at COLLABORATE 16 in Las Vegas April 10–14, 2016. The call for presentations for COLLABORATE 16 will open on August 25, so if you are interested in sharing your experience with a new technology, technique, or trend you learned about at or after OpenWorld, COLLABORATE 16 may be the perfect place to do it. COLLABORATE is a can’t-miss opportunity to connect with the members of three Oracle users groups (IOUG, OAUG, and Quest) as well as with the top names and faces in the Oracle community.

Besides COLLABORATE, there are always great opportunities to share your expertise with the IOUG community as a guest blogger for #IOUGenius, where we showcase the deep experience, unmatched skills, and impressive success stories of IOUG members and the greater Oracle community.

IOUG is also a great resource to help you advance in your career and professional development by ensuring that you stay abreast of changes in the industry and take advantage of the year-round services and content that is provided through IOUG educational webcasts, the 12 Months of 12c webinar series, and the IOUG Master Class Series.

Make sure you take advantage of everything that the IOUG has to offer. Stop by and connect with us in the User Group Pavilion at Oracle OpenWorld in Moscone South and West. We will be there Sunday through Wednesday. I hope to see you there!

Oracle OpenWorld takes place September 25–29, 2015, in San Francisco.
