Kin + Carta, a global digital transformation consultancy, is acquiring Cascade Data Labs, a Portland, Oregon-based company with a focus on data science, supporting the expansion of Kin + Carta's data transformation practice. Cascade Data Labs offers end-to-end data science expertise across all of the interrelated disciplines required to execute and drive business value, including data integration, data architecture, data science, data engineering, and data visualization.

Infonomics author Doug Laney discussed the seven methods of monetizing data within the Infonomics paradigm in his keynote at Data Summit Connect Fall 2020.

Rapid7, a provider of security analytics and automation, has acquired Alcide.IO Ltd., a provider of Kubernetes security based in Tel Aviv, Israel. Spotify is introducing a Kubernetes monitoring tool that's designed around the needs of service owners, not cluster admins.
