Google Cloud is introducing autoscaling for Bigtable, enabling users to automatically add or remove capacity in response to the changing demand of applications. In a blog post, Anton Gething, Bigtable product manager and Ashish Chopra, cloud-native databases product marketing lead, announced that with autoscaling, users only pay for what they need and can spend more time their business instead of managing infrastructure.
MinIO Inc., creators of the MinIO multi-cloud object storage suite, announced it has raised $103 million in Series B funding at a $1 billion valuation, enabling the company to accelerate multi-cloud storage adoption. The investment was led by Intel Capital with participation from new investor SoftBank Vision Fund 2, and existing investors Dell Technologies Capital, General Catalyst, and Nexus Venture Partners. This financing brings MinIO's total funding raised to $126 million.
