Grant Thornton LLP has acquired the Oracle consulting business of MarketSphere LLC, a Kansas City, Mo.-based business consulting firm. The acquisition brings more than 160 consultants to Grant Thornton's Technology Solutions practice, which is part of the firm's Business Advisory Services. The acquisition was effective Sept. 1.

Noetix Corp., a provider of business intelligence (BI) software and services for enterprise applications, has introduced Noetix Analytics 5.3, with improvements including new data marts, performance enhancements, and a streamlined upgrade process. The release is an important one for Noetix customers and prospects because it provides additional functional capability, coverage for new subject areas, and also provides improvement to the performance of the application, Jeff Kirk, director of Product Management for Noetix Analytics, told 5 Minute Briefing in a recent interview.
