Straight Talk on Data Quality in the Age of Digital Transformation

In an era when businesses are depending on analytics more than ever to compete, it's paramount that the data feeding these systems is trustworthy. The timeliness, completeness and cleanliness of data can make or break the fortunes of a data-driven enterprise. However, while today's enterprises see data quality as a top strategic priority, it's startling that eight out of ten enterprise data managers say their organizations' data quality efforts are lagging or problematic.

These are amongst the findings of a brand-new study fielded amongst the subscribers of DBTA in partnership with Melissa Data Corporation. Data quality initiatives are not widespread enough at most enterprises today to enable consistent quality, and discovery is often through informal processes. In addition, although many organizations are moving data to the cloud, this doesn't mean that data quality issues are going away. In lots of cases, cloud adoption has increased the number of issues faced.

To dive into the findings of this new study and help equip IT decision-makers and data professionals with best practices for improving their data quality moving forward, DBTA is hosting a special webinar on October 12th.
