Hugh is the Head of Innovation and Data Science at Arbella Insurance Group. His primary responsibilities include overseeing the development and implementation of machine learning-based models for pricing and workflow automation.

Hugh plays a strategic role within Arbella with the successful implementation of many strategic initiatives focusing on new business growth, business retention, and expense reduction. Hugh is also a frequent speaker at the Casualty Actuarial Society.

Prior to Arbella, Hugh spent 12 years at Deloitte Consulting working with many large national P&C companies to develop and implement end-to-end business solutions based on predictive models and advanced analytics. Before that, he worked at Liberty Mutual and Ernst & Young as an Actuarial Analyst. Hugh is a graduate from Boston University and earned his bachelor and master’s degree in Statistics.
