Trifacta Strengthens Partnership with Hortonworks and Gains Apache Atlas Certification

Trifacta, a provider of data wrangling software, is deepening technical integration with the Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP) and the industry’s first certification for Apache Atlas, a data governance and metadata framework for Hadoop.

According to Trifacta, the Atlas integration enables Hortonworks customers to more effectively leverage metadata within the Hortonworks Data Platform by enhancing it with user-generated metadata from the Trifacta data wrangling process. This connection gives data analysts an approach to publish metadata to Atlas, and gives data architects a single, consolidated view of technical and business metadata.

Trifacta has also received the Hortonworks Security Certification through integration with Apache Ranger, the security and encryption framework for the Hortonworks Data Platform, enabling customers to more easily support security policies established within HDP when using Trifacta.

The new integrations build upon Trifacta's existing Hortonworks Data Platform and YARN Ready certifications, which Trifacta says, makes it the presumptive data wrangling choice for Hortonworks customers. Trifacta has also collaborated with Hortonworks on industry-focused big data solutions in insurance and retail with common customers in both verticals.
