With the global impact of the coronavirus running a massive stress test on supply chains, Oracle is announcing updates to Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain & Manufacturing (Oracle Cloud SCM) to help customers address the challenges presented by widespread supply disruptions, market volatility, shifting global trade patterns, and changing customer expectations. The latest planning and management solutions in Oracle Cloud SCM are aimed at helping customers improve the efficiency of company-wide operations, gain greater foresight into supply and demand across their networks, and deliver enhanced service to their customers.

Platform9, a provider of open-source SaaS managed solutions for private and edge clouds including Kubernetes and OpenStack, is adding key building blocks to its platform to deliver the next generation SaaS managed Kubernetes experience. New features include Calico networking with API access, an application wizard for automated deployment of bare metal Kubernetes clusters, and enhanced cluster monitoring and observability that provide better insights into all aspects of  cluster behavior.

SolarWinds is updating its IT operations management portfolio to better meet the needs of IT professionals operating in hybrid IT realities and responding to economic pressures. With these enhancements, SolarWinds says, it is extending its commitment to supporting the IT pro community by offering the ability to monitor, manage, and secure IT across hybrid and multi-cloud environments of any scale and size.

As hybrid cloud models evolve into the new standard for enterprise storage and the ability to quickly and easily extract value from digital assets becomes ever-more important, storage expertise remains critical. According to Gartner, by 2025, 40% of workloads will reside in the public cloud, 30% at the edge and 30% on-premise—compared to the 80% on-premise in 2019. However, storage managers must move beyond their traditional roles in response to this changing landscape—a challenge that many are embracing.

Hybrid cloud data warehouse company Yellowbrick Data is partnering with Nexla to offer a cutting-edge platform for intercompany data collaboration between or among a company's customers, suppliers, or other third-party data providers. As part of their partnership, the companies are working on technical certifications and performance tuning as well as joint go-to-market opportunities.
