Okera has introduced Okera Spotlight for Amazon Web Services (AWS), a solution to provide real-time and continuous audit of Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) data lakes. Okera Spotlight applies tagging rules to automatically identify sensitive data and provides access patterns across the data lake. This enables data lake owners and stewards to get actionable insights to mitigate risks associated with data breaches and evolving privacy regulations.
StreamSets, a provider of a DataOps data integration platform, is partnering with Databricks, a provider of unified data analytics, to support data teams with rapid, no-code development using Apache Spark and Delta Lake. With the combined approach, the two companies say, they are enabling more data to be delivered faster to drive analytics.
There is a sea change underway in enterprise architecture. Although security is still a cloud concern—one which predominates at the time of cloud migration, and even grows stronger post-implementation—the use of cloud platforms has gained widespread acceptance.
