CLS, a market infrastructure group delivering settlement, processing, and data solutions, and IBM are collaborating on a proof of concept for LedgerConnect—a distributed ledger technology (DLT) platform for the financial services industry. The platform is designed to enable banks, buy and sell side firms, FinTechs, and software vendors to deploy, share, and consume services hosted on a shared distributed ledger network.

DBI Software, a provider of Db2 LUW performance solutions, has introduced new capabilities in its pureFeat V7 Performance Management Suite for IBM Db2 LUW. With this release, DBI is elevating performance monitoring to help DBAs and management teams to cope with the volatility of agile environments, said Scott Hayes, president and founder of DBI.

DFLabs, provider of security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) technology, is introducing a new version of the IncMan SOAR platform that uses automated event triage to dramatically reduce the number of security incidents generated from alerts.

EnterpriseDB, developer of a Postgres-based database platform, is releasing the beta version of its EDB Postgres Migration Portal, an automated online tool for moving Oracle databases to the EDB Postgres Platform.

IBM Security has announced X-Force Red Labs, a network of four secure facilities dedicated to testing the security of devices and systems including consumer and industrial IoT technologies, automotive equipment, and ATMs. The new labs are operated by X-Force Red, an autonomous team of veteran hackers within IBM Security, and will be located in Austin, TX; Hursley, England; Melbourne, Australia; and Atlanta, GA.

The study found that as companies turn to IT to help them navigate systemic cultural and technological changes, business leaders have propelled IT into a state of change with increasing roles and responsibilities.  And yet, the infrastructure, budget, and clear roadmap forward to manage complex IT challenges and transform the business have yet to emerge, according to the majority of the 404 IT professionals queried in the study.
