Alation Inc., the data catalog company, is introducing a new set of features to transform data governance practices. Alation TrustCheck issues real-time data governance guardrails directly into the workflow of self-service analytics users. TrustCheck users are automatically alerted to both constraints and best practices, leading to more timely, accurate and compliant analysis.

Anaconda, a Python data science platform provider, is releasing Anaconda Enterprise 5.2, adding NVIDIA GPU-accelerated, scalable machine learning and more.

BlueData, provider container-based software for AI and Big Data workloads, will undertake a new open source Kubernetes initiative: BlueK8s. The company also introduced the first open source project in the BlueK8s initiative, Kubernetes Director (aka KubeDirector), for deploying and managing distributed stateful applications with Kubernetes.

CloudJumper, provider of a Workspace as a Service (WaaS) platform, is introducing Cloud Workspace for Azure. The enhanced platform integrates the Cloud Workspace Management Suite with Microsoft's Remote Desktop modern infrastructure (RDmi) for increased visibility into the user's Azure, Office365, and Cloud Workspace experience.

The dbKoda team has released dbKoda 1.0, the first production release of its open source integrated development environment (IDE) for MongoDB. dbKoda offers features for developing MongoDB applications and for managing and tuning MongoDB databases. 

MarkLogic,  provider of an enterprise NoSQL database platform, has introduced the MarkLogic Query Service, a new way to give customers elasticity in the cloud for their mission-critical, enterprise-grade workloads.

Splice Machine is releasing a plugin for Apache Ranger to provide centralized security administration for its customers on Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP). The Apache Ranger plugin will provide Splice Machine customers with a framework for central administration of security policies, and the monitoring of user access and security-related administrative actions within all of the components of Splice Machine. It also provides enhanced support for various authorization methods, such as role-based access control, attribute-based access control and more.
