Confio Software released version 8.3 of its Ignite database performance monitoring software at COLLABORATE 13 this week. Ignite 8.3 enhancements were developed specifically to address the needs of DBAs with very large database deployments spread out geographically as well as enterprise-level requirements for security and compliance, Don Bergal, chief marketing officer of Confio, tells DBTA.

Oracle has introduced a major new release of its Business Process Management Suite. Oracle Business Process Management Suite 11g provides updates to Business Process Composer, support for Adaptive Case Management, and an expanded list of Oracle Process Accelerators. The new capabilities provide business users with greater control over the design, analysis, execution and monitoring of business processes in order to help enhance organizational efficiency.

At COLLABORATE 13 in Denver, Oracle announced new releases of Oracle Business Intelligence Foundation Suite and Endeca Information Discovery. Oracle Business Intelligence Foundation Suite centralizes enterprise reporting, dashboards, and analytics on an integrated platform, and Endeca Information Discovery is an enterprise data discovery platform for intuitive analysis of information from structured and unstructured sources.
