Dell has extended its longstanding collaboration with SAP. As part of the extended partnership, Dell is introducing new non-disruptive migration and modernization services for the SAP HANA platform and SAP Adaptive Server Enterprise (SAP ASE), and has also worked with SAP to certify Dell PowerEdge R920 for running SAP HANA with with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, in addition to SUSE Linux Enterprise Server.
Delphix's flagship product, the Delphix Agile Data Platform, has introduced database virtualization for SAP Adaptive Server Enterprise (SAP ASE). Currently in beta testing with SAP and Delphix customers, Delphix's new support of SAP ASE is scheduled to become generally available later this summer.
Fusion ION Accelerator version 2.3 is now certified by SAP as an enterprise storage solution for the SAP HANA platform. The new certification enables Fusion-io to participate in SAP's program for SAP HANA-tailored data center integration using its certified solution.
SAP has made enhancements to the SAP PartnerEdge program for Application Development, its program enabling partners to build software applications on top of SAP platforms. "With these program enhancements, we support our ecosystem's move to the cloud powered by SAP HANA and increase our partners' choices to grow their business by innovating on top of our platform," said Bernd-Uwe Pagel, senior vice president, Platform Ecosystem & eChannels, SAP.
SAP has launched Simple Finance, a new set of solutions powered by the HANA Enterprise Cloud. The company also announced that SAP Fiori, which provides an enhanced user experience, will now be included at no additional charge in all SAP software.
Violin Memory, Inc., a provider of all-flash storage arrays and appliances, has announced the availability of the Violin 6200 Series All Flash Array for the SAP HANA platform. Certification for the solution with SAP HANA was achieved by working in conjunction with the SAP Co-Innovation Lab in Palo Alto, Calif. The new SAP-certified solution complements existing solutions from Violin for SAP IQ software and SAP Adaptive Server Enterprise (SAP ASE).
