Oracle is introducing Oracle Code Assist, an AI code companion, to help developers boost velocity and enhance code consistency. Powered by large language models (LLMs) running on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and optimized for Java, SQL, and application development on OCI, Oracle Code Assist is planned to provide developers with context-specific suggestions that can be tailored to an organization's best practices and codebases. Oracle Code Assist will also be designed to be used to update, upgrade, and refactor code written in most modern programming languages, according to the company.
Oracle is releasing Oracle Database 23ai, Oracle's converged database, as a broad range of cloud services—including Oracle AI Vector Search and more than 300 additional major features focused on simplifying the use of AI with data, accelerating app development, and running mission-critical workloads. The new AI Vector Search capabilities enable customers to securely combine search for documents, images, and other unstructured data with search on private business data, without moving or duplicating it.
Red Hat, Inc., a leading provider of open source solutions, and Oracle announced the general availability of Red Hat OpenShift on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Compute Virtual Machines (VMs). Red Hat OpenShift is a leading hybrid cloud application platform powered by Kubernetes for architecting, building, and deploying cloud-native applications.
