Quest Software, a global systems management, data protection, and security software provider, has announced the general availability of Quest QoreStor 6.0 to enable software defined hybrid cloud secondary storage for businesses.

Exadel, a provider of digital software engineering solutions, is launching a Kubernetes deployment solution, CrossKube. The packaged solution gives organizations the ability to deploy everything that is needed for a highly scalable, cloud-based application, including application best-practice templates for Kubernetes, microservices, containerization, application discovery, database connectivity, front-end application structure, and automated testing.

YugaByte, a provider of open source distributed SQL databases, announced that YugaByte DB is now 100% open source under the Apache 2.0 license, bringing previously commercial features into the open source core. The transition breaks the boundaries between YugaByte's Community and Enterprise editions by bringing previously commercial-only, closed-source features such as Distributed Backups, Data Encryption, and Read Replicas into the open source core project distributed under the permissive Apache 2.0 license.

PremiumSoft has announced the release of Navicat Monitor version 2.0. Navicat Monitor provides database server monitoring that covers system resources for MySQL, MariaDB, and SQL Server. The company says the multi-platform application runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux, and enables agentless installation for physical, virtual, and cloud servers without endpoint deployment complexity.
