Ahana has raised $2.25 million in funding led by GV (formerly Google Ventures) along with participation from Leslie Ventures and other angel investors. Additionally, Ahana has joined the Linux Foundation's Presto Foundation.

Arcserve, a data and ransomware protection provider, has expanded its alliance with Sophos, a provider of next-generation cybersecurity solutions, to introduce cyber and data protection for infrastructures with on-premise, cloud, and SaaS-based workloads. This expanded collaboration is aimed at eliminating the complexity of discrete cybersecurity and data protection with the first solution suite to combine anti-ransomware and other threat prevention technologies with immutable backup and disaster recovery (DR) capabilities for protection from cyberattacks, major disasters, human error, or other unplanned outages.

Clumio, a provider of SaaS for enterprise backup, has launched the Clumio Research and Development Center in Bengaluru to begin operations in India. The startup, headquartered in Santa Clara, Calif., was co-founded in 2017 by Poojan Kumar, Kaustubh Patil and Woon Jung, and to date has raised $186 million in funding through Series A, B, and C.

Delphix, provider of the Delphix DataOps Platform, has announced the completion of its original mission to provide a comprehensive data platform—from Kubernetes to mainframes—to accelerate digital and customer experience transformation for global enterprises. 

GridGain Systems, provider of enterprise-grade in-memory computing solutions based on Apache Ignite, has announced GridGain Control Center, a tool for managing, monitoring, and developing applications for the GridGain and Apache Ignite in-memory computing platforms.

Oracle has announced the release of the Oracle Visual Builder Platform, an integrated environment for development teams to develop and deliver cloud-native applications. The Visual Builder Platform integrates the features of Oracle Visual Builder and Oracle Developer Cloud Service to cover the full development lifecycle from planning all the way to delivery and hosting.

Rancher Labs, creator of a Kubernetes management platform, has announced the general availability of Longhorn, an enterprise-grade, cloud-native container storage solution. According to Rancher, Longhorn directly answers the need for an enterprise-grade, vendor-neutral persistent storage solution that supports the easy development of stateful applications within Kubernetes.
