Actian, a provider of hybrid cloud data warehousing and data integration software, has formed a strategic partnership with enterprise data protection provider Sotero. "Enterprises are also looking for secure data migration between environments as they move from on-premise to a hybrid or multi-cloud environment. The partnership between Sotero and Actian provides customers with the industry's first solution to address these requirements with zero impact on performance," said Marc Potter, chief revenue officer, Actian.

Denodo, a provider of data virtualization, has announced the Denodo Platform version 8.0, which accelerates hybrid and multi-cloud integration, automates data management with AI/machine learning, and boosts performance with smart query acceleration.

Green House Data, a provider of digital transformation consulting and managed IT services, is rebranding to unify its recently acquired companies and nine locations throughout North America under one brand name—Lunavi. The new name reflects the company's growth and ability to provide end-to-end solutions that span from migrating legacy infrastructure to the cloud to enabling cloud native, modern application development, according to the vendor.

At VMworld 2020, VMware and NVIDIA announced a partnership to deliver both an end-to-end enterprise platform for AI and a new architecture for data center, cloud, and the edge that uses NVIDIA DPUs (data processing units) to support existing and next-generation applications. "We are partnering with NVIDIA to bring AI to every enterprise; a true democratization of one of the most powerful technologies," said Pat Gelsinger, CEO of VMware. "We're also collaborating to define a new architecture for the hybrid cloud—one purpose built to support the needs and demands of the next generation of applications."

Pure Storage, an IT pioneer that delivers storage as-a-service in a multi-cloud world, is introducing a spectrum of enhancements to its hybrid cloud solutions across the VMware portfolio, enabling any enterprise to focus on innovation rather than infrastructure. New solution enhancements from Pure help enterprises maximize their VMware investments, delivering agility and efficiency for modern applications across on-premises and cloud environments. Customers will have improved availability of their data services, enabling them to meet demanding Service-level Agreements (SLAs).

Qlik is deepening its strategic partnership with Google Cloud by providing a new joint offering focused on enabling customers to increase the value of their SAP data with Google BigQuery. Optimized to support SAP data on Google Cloud and Google BigQuery, and reinforced with Qlik's new ‘SAP on Google Cloud Expertise' designation, Google Cloud customers now have an integrated solution they can confidently deploy with Qlik Data Integration to help drive more use and value from all their data.
