In 2023, AI dominated the news cycle while companies raced to implement their own versions of ChatGPT or offer AI-embedded solutions. Oracle boosted its cloud infrastructure along with recognizing the new interest in AI, offering its own generative AI service in OCI. Here, Oracle offers its predictions for 2024.
Oracle is opening a second Oracle Cloud Region in Chile, making it the first hyperscaler to have two regions in the country. With the new Oracle Cloud Valparaíso Region and the existing region in Santiago, Oracle will help organizations across all industries in Chile strengthen business continuity while addressing data residency and sovereignty requirements.
Oracle announced that its first Oracle Database@Azure service is now generally available in the Microsoft Azure East U.S. region. Oracle will operate and manage Oracle Exadata Database Service, the first of several planned Oracle database services to run on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) in Azure data centers.
