CA Technologies announced that its customer experience monitoring technology has been added as part of the "SAP Extended Diagnostics by CA Technologies" application. The SAP Extended Diagnostics application is intended to enable users to monitor the performance of applications from the business process down to the transaction-component level in real time.

Cloud Foundry Foundation, a platform-as-a-service (PaaS) open source project, has been launched as an independent non-profit foundation. The Cloud Foundry Foundation will be managed as a Linux Foundation Collaborative Project and operate under a system of open governance created by a team of open source experts from founding Platinum Members EMC, HP, IBM, Intel, Pivotal, SAP, and VMware. "SAP is committed to contributing to open-source PaaS technologies, including integration of technologies such as the SAP HANA® platform and Internet of Things as part of SAP HANA Cloud Platform," said Björn Goerke, executive vice president and corporate officer, Product and Innovation Technology, SAP.

Espresso Logic is adding data virtualization for mobile and web app back-end developers to its reactive programming-based back-end-as-a-service (BaaS). "We have a very unique technology that we have developed called reactive programming. As a user, whenever the spreadsheet is changed it will always recalculate itself and give you a result. Up until now, no one has really used this method for back-end development," explained R. Paul Singh, CEO of Espresso Logic.

SAP SE has collaborated with Raab Associates, Inc., a marketing technology consultant, to offer a free online tool that provides marketers with personalized recommendations on focus areas of investment for their organization. The marketing gap analysis tool asks a series of questions about the organization's profile, marketing programs, current systems and processes. The platform then evaluates the information to provide an analysis of the organization's current marketing technology foundation
