Trillium Software, a business of Harte-Hanks, Inc., has introduced the latest version of the Trillium Software System. Designed to visualize data issues, improve business rule validation and enhance data quality monitoring in operational environments, the new Trillium Software System is aimed at helping business users and analysts, data stewards and IT professionals work together to improve business decisions and outcomes through better, more accurate information.

IBM is offering new software that helps businesses protect customer data and other sensitive information from security breaches. The new software, which supports both System z and SAP implementations, automatically monitors structured data and application usage across the enterprise and immediately alerts management to unusual activity.

Sybase 365, a subsidiary of Sybase, Inc., has announced that it has processed more than one trillion inter-operator messages since the company launched the first SMS interoperability messaging hub in 2001. One trillion messages is equivalent to processing approximately 32,000 messages per second for every second of one year.

Sybase, Inc., an SAP company, has revealed the results of a new report, "Measuring the Business Impacts of Effective Data." The study benchmarks leading enterprises across a wide range of industries by measuring the direct correlation between a company's IT investments and overall business performance.

The International Sybase User Group has announced the winners of its 2010 ISUG Technical Journal Award. This award is given annually to the best technical writers that its user magazine has featured over the past 12 months. ISUG Technical Journal is a monthly online and print publication devoted to providing comment and analysis on Sybase tools and technologies.

The International Sybase User Group is pleased to announce that Michael Bendorf has been appointed Communications Director at its recent board meeting on August 26th. "We are please to welcome Michael to the ISUG board of directors," said Bryan Enochs, ISUG president. "He has significant experience with web development and social media and will be an asset to the organization. His role will be to create and execute a communications plan utilizing 21st century technologies that will be of benefit to all members of our organization."
