Actian has announced general availability for Actian Vector for Hadoop, its upgraded SQL database designed to help data-driven organizations get the most out of their existing Hadoop data lake investments. The new Vector for Hadoop provides support for machine learning, optimized workload management, and a seamless onramp to the cloud so enterprises can get the most out of their Hadoop investments.

Redis Labs has announced RedisRaft, a new strong-consistency deployment option. The RedisRaft module makes it possible to use Redis and its existing clients, libraries, and data types in beyond-cache scenarios requiring a high level of reliability and consistency.

Copado, a provider of a native DevOps platform for Salesforce, is releasing its Summer 20 updates to accelerate, optimize, and measure innovation delivery on the Salesforce platform. Summer 20 is a milestone release that includes a complete DevOps Analytics suite.

IBM is expanding its database ecosystem with new partners. The company is making DataStax Enterprise, EDB, and MongoDB Enterprise Server generally available on the IBM public cloud as part of its effort to address key market trends including the ever-increasing need to optimize application workloads with fit-for-purpose database technologies.

IBM has announced the availability of IBM Wazi for Red Hat CodeReady Workspaces (Wazi Workspaces). The environment addresses common challenges for developers who are new to the mainframe, and, in the process, makes cloud-native development on IBM Z a reality, according to Willie Tejada, GM & chief developer advocate at IBM, who provided information about Wazi Workspaces in an IBM developer blog post.

JFrog, a Universal DevOps technology provider, is releasing new capabilities to address the growing problem of software distribution bottlenecks. The newly introduced CDN-based and Peer-to-Peer software package distribution mechanisms empower companies to overcome the challenge of frequently delivering large volumes of artifacts to internal teams and external clients.  

Pepperdata, a provider of performance and capacity optimization software, has introduced managed autoscaling in the cloud with Pepperdata Capacity Optimizer version 6.3. Capacity Optimizer augments autoscaling to ensure all nodes are fully utilized before additional nodes are created, helping to decrease waste and reduce cost.

SQream, provider of a data analytics acceleration platform, has raised $39.4 million in Series B+ funding to accelerate technology advancements. The round was led by Mangrove Capital Partners and Schusterman Family Investments, who joined existing investors, including Hanaco Venture Capital, Sistema.vc, World Trade Center Ventures, Blumberg Capital, Silvertech Ventures and Alibaba Group (NYSE: BABA).
