Attunity Ltd. is releasing an enhanced version of its Attunity Compose platform to eliminate pitfalls in data warehousing and accelerate big data analytics.

Oracle has introduced the StorageTek Virtual Storage Manager (VSM) 7 System, which provides mainframe and heterogeneous storage combined with the additional capability for automated tiering to the public cloud.

Ravello Systems has entered into an agreement to be acquired by Oracle. The acquisition was announced in a blog post by Rami Tamir, CEO of Ravello Systems on the company's website. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed and industry estimates placed the deal at anywhere from $400 million to $500 million.
