AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) is a new, fully managed service that enables migration of production Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, MariaDB, and PostgreSQL databases from on-premises data centers to AWS with virtually no downtime. DMS is a heterogeneous migration solution, meaning that migrations can be between like databases, e.g., Oracle to Oracle, or alternatively between two different databases, e.g., Oracle to PostgreSQL. If there are advanced schema objects that need to be moved, the AWS Schema Conversion Tool can be leveraged to automate this.

Zoomdata, developer of a data visualization and analytics system optimized for big data, has introduced Zoomdata for Amazon Web Services (AWS) to help users connect, stream, and visually interact with big data from sources in AWS and across the enterprise.
