Linux KVM Virtualization Gains Traction

The Linux KVM hypervisor is gaining traction in the cloud computing market, as evidenced by major vendors including IBM using the virtualization software to create cloud platforms, according to a Network World article by Jon Brodkin.

Smart Business Development and Test on the IBM Cloud is powered by Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization, the Red Hat branded and supported KVM offering. Novell has also said that it will support KVM in version 11 of SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, notes Brodkin.
