The Linux Foundation Announces LinuxCon 2010 Call for Papers

The Linux Foundation, a non-profit consortium working with the community to protect, promote and standardize Linux, has announced that the Call for Papers deadline for LinuxCon 2010 will be March 31. LinuxCon will take place August 10-12 in Boston, Mass., and registration for the event is now open.

Categories for submissions include Developer (kernel, core development, software engineering), Operations (systems architecture, Linux migration and deployment), and Business (open source governance, best practices). The organizers also note that a number of topics, such as Making Linux Smarter, Linux in Mobile Devices and Linux in the Cloud, will be given priority for the 2010 LinuxCon program.

LinuxCon is an annual technical conference that provides a collaboration and education space for all matters Linux. LinuxCon brings together the best and brightest that the Linux community has to offer, including core developers, administrators, end users, community managers and industry experts-the best technical talent and the decision makers and industry experts who are involved in the Linux community. IBM is a sponsor of LinuxCon.

In addition to keynotes, roundtable panels and 75 conference sessions, LinuxCon offers a range of tutorials, lightning talks, BoFs and other programming. Outside of the classroom, the conference provides a variety of ways to learn and connect with peers, including evening events, developer lounges, a technology showcase and much more.
