Bring on the ‘GSB’ (Government Service Bus)
Posted Jun 15, 2009 - June 15, 2009 Issue Print Version     Page 1of 1

IBM recently announced that it has completed the deployment of a massive project that modernizes the delivery of government services in Saudi Arabia, via service oriented architecture and web technologies. The multi-year "eGovernment Service Bus" (GSB) project will eventually provide everyone in the country with access to government services from anyplace and at anytime, replacing the current manual system. The GSB paves the way for the organizational and governance structures required to support the delivery of online eGovernment services to all citizens and organizations within the country. IBM says these types of initiatives are taking place across various countries, suggesting that more governments are moving to the digital realm.
