Move Over, Change: CEOs Now Worry More About Complexity

IBM released the results of a study based on interviews with 1,500 global CEOs, and found one issue above all others was keeping them awake at night: complexity. In IBM's past three global CEO studies, change was the most pressing challenge - but now, CEOs are concerned their companies can't manage the intricate web of technology, markets, and global forces reshaping the business landscape. CEOs said they operate in a world that is substantially more volatile, uncertain and complex. Many shared the view that incremental changes are no longer sufficient in a world that is operating in fundamentally different ways.
