Eliminate IO Wait – Reduce License Costs
Thursday, March 7, 2013
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM CST

Costs increasing numbers of users, devices, and applications require real time concurrent access to ever larger amounts of enterprise data. To keep pace with these rapidly changing business needs, IT infrastructure has transformed to leverage faster networks, multi-core CPUs, and server virtualization technologies to scale operations. But storage hasn’t kept pace with these new requirements. In fact, storage is frequently found to be the bottleneck. This session will deliver a technical deep dive on how Violin Memory eliminates that IO wait by substantially improving storage latency, CPU utilization, and by extension per-CPU software license costs. ‘The Violin Effect’ not only saves per-CPU software license and datacenter floor space costs, but also makes virtualizing Tier 1 databases a reality.
