Kore Technologies’ Newest Kourier Update Enhances Cloud Capabilities

Kore Technologies, a provider of enterprise integration and eCommerce solutions, is releasing version 4.5 of Kourier Integrator Data Management, further enhancing cloud capabilities.

Users will see new benefits for Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure. The update provides enhanced functionality and higher performance when doing integration and data warehousing with Microsoft SQL Server in the cloud.

“This really is important because with a lot of our clients and what we see in the field, more people are putting their data warehouses in the cloud,”said Keith Lambert, VP, Marketing and business development at Kore. “Because of that we made some improvements to the product to have the best performance, optimize how it works, and increase functionality so users can take advantage of our software in that environment.”

Microsoft SQL Server 2017 is supported in this release in addition to other performance and product improvements to Kourier's ETL (extract, transform and load) and EAI (enterprise application integration) capabilities.

Key enhancements include:

  • Increased ODBC Performance: Kourier's Net Change engine was redesigned to provide significant performance increases when loading Microsoft SQL Server databases from non-UniData/UniVerse data sources.
  • Kourier REST Enhancements: API developers have more control of serialized JSON output and enhanced support for JSON with inbound REST APIs. The Swagger API documentation includes additional information and is more interactive and easier to use for API consumers.

“We’re seeing more and more people want to go to the cloud now,” said Mark Dobransky, co-founder and managing partner. “Distribution systems and ERP systems are slow adopters and they’re starting to really move toward the cloud now. That’s primarily our customer base so we’re moving along with them.”

Having Kore software keep up with integrations to Microsoft is a key value that the company brings to its customers, Dobransky explained. Along with that more REST enhancements are featured and will continue to be upgraded.

“We continue to keep abreast of the trends that are happening out there with REST and the way people are doing things,” Dobransky said. “Our goal is to make Kourier be the easiest way to build REST endpoints into your MultiValue system so you can work with the rest of the world.”

The company plans to extend APIs to a variety of applications, more cloud updates, and integrations, according to Dobransky.
