Kore Technologies, a provider of enterprise integration and e-commerce web solutions for MultiValue and Microsoft SQL Server databases, is now a resale partner for Rocket Software's CorVu business intelligence (BI) and analytics products.
For more than 2 decades, members of the Kore staff have partnered with U2, which is now owned by Rocket as a result of a 2009 acquisition from IBM.
Combined with Kore's Kourier Integrator and SQL Accelerator data integration solutions, companies using Rocket's U2 database will be able to benefit from a tightly integrated, enterprise-class, Microsoft SQL Server BI solution at a price point that is right for the MultiValue market, according to the vendors.
CorVu is a product that gives BI users the ability to create interactive reports, web-based pivot tables with drill-down, executive dashboards, and extensive graphing capabilities, explains Mark Dobransky, managing partner at Kore Technologies. "It is a very modern way of presenting data, being able to slice and dice it, and put that really in the hands of the end users," he tells 5 Minute Briefing.
"CorVu fit into our strategy. We have long talked about moving data out of U2, building a data warehouse, and then reporting off of it. This gives us an opportunity to offer a tool to do the reporting aspects," Dobransky explains, pointing out, "BI reporting can be very expensive." However, he adds, the CorVu software has a low entry point for these businesses. "As they grow and adopt it for usage in their companies, they can then add additional users. It gives them a very cost-effective way of getting into BI - and that is really important in the U2 marketplace."
With this partnership, Kore now has a comprehensive solution to offer to its customers. "Corvu has the features and functionality that most people need," adds Keith Lambert, Kore's vice president of marketing and business development. "That gives us an opportunity to sell these products, combined with our Kourier Integrator and SQL Accelerator solutions, to build really robust, SQL-based BI solutions, at a price they can afford."
