Revelation Software Updates Universal Driver Heavy and Opens Early Bird Registration for 2013 Users Conference

Revelation Software has announced Revelation Universal Driver Heavy (UDH) v.4.7. The UDH is client/server software designed to allow real-time mirroring of Revelation linear hash data. The UDH enables a business to switch immediately if needed from a primary server to a secondary, which is essential for companies with 24 x 7 operations, Robert Catalano, director of sales at Revelation, tells DBTA.

The key new capability in the 4.7 release, says Catalano, is 64-bit compatibility for the UDH Manager. Speed enhancements and minor bug fixes have also been added.

Revelation UDH 4.7 offers speed improvements on refreshing a list of record locks when a large number of tables are active; the ability to change the service state with revcmd.exe from a batch script while the UDH Manager is open; and fixes spurious SSP247 messages from appearing on the server console while the UDH Manager is open. The new version of UDH also fixes a special condition bug that caused the service to orphan journal files.

Upgrades from existing versions of the UDH to the 4.7 release will be free of charge.

OpenInsight 9.4 will be released in time for the upcoming Revelation Software Users' Conference in April. The conference will be held at the Sheraton Music City Hotel, Nashville, Tennessee, April 16-19. Early bird reservations are now being accepted.
