Attunity Ltd. has announced a new cloud solution, Attunity CloudBeam for Azure SQL Data Warehouse. The solution enables automated and optimized data loading from enterprise databases into the Azure SQL Data Warehouse. Now available in the Azure Marketplace, Attunity CloudBeam offers Azure customers several SaaS licensing options and is being released alongside the first public preview of Microsoft’s new cloud data warehouse service.
The Azure SQL Data Warehouse offers a cloud-based solution that the vendors say can reduce the total costs of owning and operating a data warehouse, facilitate growth as data volumes grow, and deliver faster time to value. However, moving large amounts of data from organizations’ on-premises data centers into the cloud-based Azure SQL Data Warehouse can be challenging. Attunity CloudBeam aims to facilitate this process, using high-performance database replication and high-speed data transfer technologies, supporting many source databases including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, IBM DB2, SAP Sybase ASE and others.
