BMC, a provider of IT solutions for the digital enterprise, will purchase RSM Partners, a global provider of services, software, and expertise with a focus on IBM Z mainframes.

RSM Partners' services and software offerings will further enhance the BMC Automated Mainframe Intelligence (AMI) portfolio for the self-managing, modern mainframe.
The combination of BMC AMI for Security and RSM's offerings will allow BMC to provide expertise in mainframe security assessments, penetration testing, compliance posture, and audit remediation for business-critical mainframe platforms.
RSM's mainframe offerings also include differentiators in staff augmentation, migrations, security as a service, and more.

The transaction is subject to close in the coming months, and it will be BMC's second mainframe security or services acquisition in the last 15 months.
